2040 US Highway 50, Batavia, OH 45103 (one mile west of Owensville).
Early Childhood Calendar, 2009-2010
The Early Intervention Department operated by the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabitiles is for children birth to three with developmental delays or disabilities, or who have a diagnosed physical or mental condition, or who are at risk for development delays, and provides assistance to their families. The program follows guidelines and/or rules from the Ohio Department of Develomental Disabilities, from Part C of I.D.E.A., as well as the policies and procedures from the Ohio Department of Health Help Me Grow system. The EI Department operates all programs in collaboration with the Clermont County Help Me Grow Advisory Council and the Clermont County Family and Children First Council.
The Early Intervention Program is funded through some state and federal dollars with the majority of funding provided through local levy dollars. This program receives Help Me Grow funding to assist in covering the cost of the provision of HMG service coordination. This division offers a variety of services to infants and toddlers with disabilities and delays and their families that include comprehensive developmental evaluation and ongoing assessment, service coordination, IFSP development, coordination and implementation, developmental therapy, occupational physical, and speech therapy, sensory-motor therapy, referral services, family support, family activities, opportunities for respite, support for inclusive child care, transition activities, and much more.
